I really like your way of thinking but unfortunately do not 100% agree with this one :( I don't believe to delegate "unimportant" things to others because I have some sort of authority. But maybe I misunderstood this completely, would like to understand more if you're interested.

Such an interesting point Akash, thanks for sharing.

From my point of view and experience, delegate tasks is not a signal of "lack of authority" but a signal of trust. Trust on the people on who we delegate work, transferring the ownership, make them accountable, for something to happen.

Actually, only the leader role (at any level) is the one that can delegate.

What do you think about this?

Fair enough, I think my point was more around abusing that authority to only delegate “not important “ tasks. As a leader our primary goal should be to provide increasing opportunities to others.

But I’m sensing that our definition of not important in this context is misaligned. 😃

Oh! Got you now! Agreed! Delegate any kind of task, also the "important" ones, is crucial for people to grow, otherwise they might have the feeling that they work is not valued at all

Exactly, a lot of leaders I’ve seen do this, only let the peasants work on bs and they take the brownie points. I just wanted to clarify this post isn’t suggesting it 🙏

Really appreciate the chat.
